Romina was born in Iran and Immigrated to the U.S., where she was raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology to pursue a career in the field of law. During her studies, she grew passionate about the injustice that existed in society, and the legal system specifically, that have been reinforcing the oppression of minority groups in this country. As a result, she is driven to make a difference through her career in her community and be the voice of people who need support and advocacy!

Throughout her undergraduate years, while completing her minor in Japanese Studies, she studied abroad in Kyoto, Japan where she explored her interest in the Japanese culture and language. She experienced living in a country with values that are so different from the ones she was used to. For the second time, she realized the reality of living as foreigner in another country came with many challenges that were now tied to her identity. With this new perspective, she became more determined to make a real difference in people’s lives, especially those people who have been misrepresented and misunderstood in society.

In her free time, she likes to hang out with friends, try new cafes, go on walks, and go to the movies. She also enjoys traveling to different places and trying various cuisines!
