Will grew up in Franklin before receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and his Juris Doctorate from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis.
In law school, Will clerked for the Honorable Felicia Corbin-Johnson and the Honorable James F. Russell, in the Shelby County Circuit Court, and worked for litigation firms in Memphis and Nashville. He also won awards on the moot court team, including best oral advocate, which competed against law schools across the country.
After law school, Will began his legal career with a small litigation firm focused on insurance defense. He joined Bill Easterly & Associates in 2018 and became a partner in 2023. Reflecting on his decision to represent injured people rather than car insurance companies, Will noted:
“I left defense work when I saw car insurance companies treat injured people like claim numbers instead of human beings. I became a lawyer to stand up for people––not a corporate car insurer. “
Will has tried multiple cases to verdict in courtrooms across Tennessee, argued before multiple state and federal courts, and resolved hundreds of cases for Tennesseans in his nearly a decade of practice.
Will is admitted to practice in all state courts in Tennessee, including the Tennessee Court of Appeals and the Tennessee Supreme Court, as well as the Federal Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Tennessee. Will is a member of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association and the Tennessee Bar Association.
Outside of work, Will is an avid sportsman who likes spending time outdoors but gets the most joy out of the time he spends with his wife, Rachael, and their two daughters.
At Bill Easterly & Associates, we are committed to fighting for justice for those who have suffered injuries due to the negligence of others. Let our family help your family. Call us today.
